Special Bitter (Pale Ale, 4.5%) - One of my favourite B.C. beers - a nicely balanced, smooth and hoppy reddish ale. Deep brownish-red color with good clarity, lively hoppy nose, medium body and well-rounded finish that is hoppier than a pale ale but stops short of IPA territory. Great session ale.

I agree big-time. Beautiful red colour, nice hoppiness, but not filling and as boozy as many of the IPAs (not that there's anything wrong with that). In Vancouver at least, it is also cheaper than a lot of the other craft/indie ales too.
