Working with Charts

Working with Images

Adding

Images are easy to add.

  • if working in ‘Visual’ editor mode, can paste or use the image icon
  • click the three dots at upper right of image to set properties like width, height, caption, alt text, etc.
  • add image: to yaml header for thumbnail or preview image for post listing page.
    • no image specified in yaml header first image in post used instead.

Positioning

By default, charts and images are aligned to the center. (not actually sure where this default is set)

You can easily align as you like:

earth at night aligned to the left (no resize)

If you want to put two images side-by-side, you can do that too.

Here’s the process for Visual editor:

  • Insert > Div
  • Attributes:

    • layout-ncol=2

    • layout-gap=10px

Tables with GT

You can also create professional-looking tables and position them how you like.

  1. Insert > Div
  2. Attribute: layout-ncol=2
  3. embed a R code chunk for each table
  4. place each table in its own R code chunk
