Small brewery that opened in 1996. After a couple of years, started packaging in 650ml litre bottles with unique heritage-style photos on the labels. An honest, unpretenious microbrewery that serves up some great unique beers.

I have had only been able to find three of Mt. Begbie's beers locally (Trail), but all three (Cream Ale, Tall Timber Ale and High Country Kolsch) are tasty, tasty beers! At only 4.5% the Kolsch and Cream Ale are great session beers. Tall Timber Ale and barbecued steak. Perfect!

Drove to Richmond to get Nasty Habit IPA. It was worth the drive. Excellent beer with a very good hoppy flower tast, nice colour and body. One of the two best IPA in BC for sure..

A great BC Brewery. Stopped by in summer of '08 and had a look around. Picked up some glass ware to drink Begbies right. Great staff, just watch for selective hours of operation, closed on Wednesdays I think.
